RAÍZ (Root) materializes memory, identity, and transgenerational heritage through circular forms, organic textures, and internal light that activates tridimensionality and sensory experience.
The work emerges from inherited gestures, silences, and transformed memories, becoming a sculptural landscape that connects past and present. The tension between the softness of textiles and the solidity of the iron structure reflects fragility and resistance, intimacy and collectivity.
Unlike traditional tapestry, RAÍZ integrates internal illumination. Light is not decorative — it becomes structural. It enhances depth, reveals textures, and transforms the perception of volume, allowing the viewer to experience the artwork as a living presence.
The circular composition reinforces ideas of continuity, cycles, and origin. In this contemporary fiber art sculpture, memory is not represented — it is embodied.
